Trademark & Brand Asset Notice
Scrift is infrastructure. We deliver brand asset data - we do not own, represent, or claim any rights over the brands in our catalog.
What Scrift is
Scrift is a developer API that delivers brand asset data - SVG icons, brand colors, and related metadata - to help developers build better products. We are a delivery layer, not a rights holder. Think of us the way you think of a CDN: we serve files, we do not own them.
Our catalog is curated from open-source brand asset collections and publicly available brand guidelines. The underlying SVG artwork in these collections is released into the public domain by their respective contributors. However, the brand marks, logos, and visual identities represented by that artwork remain the intellectual property of their respective trademark holders - the SVG format does not change that ownership.
Trademarks belong to their owners
Every brand name, logo, and visual mark accessible through the Scrift API is the exclusive property of its respective trademark holder. The presence of a brand in our catalog does not imply any affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by that brand - and it does not grant you any rights to use their trademark beyond what their own brand guidelines permit.
Scrift does not license trademarks. We do not have agreements with any of the brands in our catalog. We are not a trademark licensor and we cannot grant rights we do not hold.
Your responsibility as a developer
When you use the Scrift API to display a brand's logo or colors in your product, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with that brand's guidelines. Most brands publish their guidelines publicly - for informational display, product integration indicators, and developer tools, use is generally acceptable. Selling merchandise, implying endorsement, or modifying a logo without permission are common restrictions.
If you are unsure whether your use case is compliant, consult the brand's official trademark guidelines or seek independent legal advice. Scrift is not in a position to advise on trademark compliance for your specific use case.
How we handle brand guidelines
We work to keep our catalog accurate and up to date. Where a brand has explicitly restricted the use or redistribution of their logo, we honour removal requests. If you represent a brand and believe our catalog includes your assets in a way that violates your guidelines, contact us at legal@scrift.app and we will respond promptly.
No warranty
The brand asset data provided through Scrift is offered as-is, without warranty of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to keep data accurate - colors, slugs, and SVG paths - but brand guidelines change, logos get updated, and licenses evolve. Always verify critical brand data against the brand's official source before production use.
